SAFEGUARDING

In compliance with the provisions of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) Board Resolution No. 255/2023, the Italian Athletics Federation, through Resolutions No. 71 of 12/05/2023 and No. 85 of 02/08/2023, has issued the Regulations for the protection of members from abuse and discriminatory conduct.

The aim is to guarantee a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is valued and respected, and to protect vulnerable individuals from harassment, abuse, and exploitation by establishing practices for preventing, combating, and sanctioning such conduct. To this end, the Federation has appointed a Safeguarding Officer and has emphasized that affiliated Associations and Sports Clubs must appoint a person in charge of preventing and combating abuse, violence, and discrimination.

Verona Run Events has developed and adopted its own organizational and control model for sports activities and codes of conduct (MOG) to protect minors and prevent harassment, violence, and all forms of discrimination. The association has also appointed a Safeguarding Officer to prevent and combat any type of abuse, violence, and discrimination against its members and to ensure the protection of athletes' physical and moral integrity.
